Group Head of HR | Permanent | Hybrid working - Alfreton site | Up to £65,000 DOEAre you ready to take your HR career to the next level Are you an experienced strategic and operational HR Manager ready to take responsibility for the HR function of an expanding SME. We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Group Head of HR to jointhe globalmanagement team and supportthe ambitious growth plans of a successful engineering business. As an integral member ofthe team, you will be responsible for thethe North American HR Manager, a UK HR Executive and a newly appointed Talent Acquisition Partner to deliver HR functional objectives and plans across the group. This is an exciting opportunity to transformthe HR function from a reactive"personneldepartment"to a robust and proactive function that meets the evolving needs of our business and truly partner with SLT.What you will be doing:This is definitely a generalist role and with you being a HR function of 4, this is a business where SLT roll their sleeves up and get stuck in where needed, so that is definitely a requisite of the role. Initial areas of HR that will need visiting are employee engagement, appraisals and the PDP process, training and development, succession planning and generally working closely with management and team leaders to support them with employee relations, recruitmentand any other support they need.With the recruitment function being brand new to the business, you will work very closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner to build out the internal recruitment processes, tools and software. Working together to create the recruitment strategy to reducetime to hire, build candidate talent pools and fill business critical roles as quickly as possible (with the right people).Retention is an area that will also need some focus, you will develop and implement a comprehensive retention plan to support the growth objectives of the business.Driving the appraisal process, ensuring clear objectives align with business unit goals andactively monitoring progress. You will create and execute a training and leadership plan to address identified needs and support succession planning. Championing employee engagement through the development and implementation of exciting initiatives.To be successful in the role, we are looking for:An energetic and proactive individual who thrives on innovation and embraces change.A strong generalist HR background with CIPD level 7 qualification or equivalent.Willingness to deliver a full HR service, from administration to working closely with management teams.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with HR trends.Experience in implementing people management development and processes.Excellent relationship-building skills, fostering trust, respect, and confidence at all levels.Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities.Collaborative team player with exceptional communication and presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft products.This is a great opportunity to bepart of an exciting and rapidly expanding business.
