Job Description

Vehicle FitterPermanent, Full timeSolihullAttractive salaries with benefits. Training to become fully skilled.We have been asked to support an established manufacturing company with a globally recognised brand for the design, manufacture and supply of commercial vehicle tankers and jetting equipment. This Client are in a significant growth period and are recruitingacross Vehicle Inspection, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly and Fitting.Roles exist within Production, Service bays, Test pads.Hours: 37.5 or 39.5 hours on rotating shift patterns or on days 8am-4pm.What you will receive:

What we are looking for:
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding is desired as is experienceworking with commercial vehicles, plant machinery / HGV vehicles.
  • Experience in fabrication, body building, assembly of mechanical parts or welding.
  • Mechanically minded.
  • Ability to read drawings or specifications is required in some roles.
  • Desire to learn and the ability to manage your own time.
  • The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
What you will do:Dependant on the role:
  • Contributing to the production and manufacture of niche vehicles either in final assembly, servicing, test, inspection or build.
  • Fitting pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical systems to the vehicle.
  • Servicing vehicles or welding repairs.
  • Fabrication or chassis building.
  • Working within test to ensure the vehicles are built to specification.
