Job Description

Support Worker Location: West MidlandsPay rate: £15.70 per hourAn exciting opportunity has come up for a Support Worker to provide a high-quality support to be responsible for undertaking Early Help Assessments and developing effective support plans in liaison with children, young people, their parent/carers and otherprofessionals.team working with children and families to access appropriate support as early as possible.This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who are committed to enhancing the lives of children, young people and their families. As part of a team under the direction of a agency project Team Manager, you will work with families requiring a package ofsupport either as part of a statutory plan or utilising an Early Help Assessment. Holding a case load of families, you will assess, plan and co-ordinate a package of support for families as well as providing practical hands-on support and direct work.In this role you will

  • Manage an agreed caseload of children and young people in compliance with casework objectives
  • Work within departmental policy and timeframes.
  • Maintain the highest Professional standards at all times.
  • Undertake Early Help Assessments, coordinating and leading on pathways of support through Team around the Child meetings;
  • Undertake direct work with children and their families and creating individualised Early Help plans in collaboration with children and families.
  • Write reports
  • Provide Support to Children and Families
  • Attend Court proceedings
The Ideal candidate will
  • Have a level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of Family Support Work
  • An accreditation in completing specialist assessment (e.g. PAMS, AIM) Desirable
  • Enhanced DBS
