Job Description

SPR Careers are proud to be working with a public sector client to recruit for a temporary Property Solicitor based in the Solihull area.The ideal candidate will possess an enthusiastic approach to work and deliver a high-quality service to customers, exceeding organisational and personal expectations.This candidate will undertake a wide variety of legal work, concentrating mainly on land and property matters on behalf of the client and partners.Working Instructions:Pay Rate: £21.98 - £25.13 per hour.Hours: 22 hours over 3 days, per weekLocation: Solihull

  • Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Legal Executive or Solicitor/Current practising certificate.
  • Detailed knowledge and working experience of commercial property law.
  • Experience of drafting complex legal documentation.
  • Computer Literate
  • Understanding of the requirements of Lexcel - Use of Iken or other case management systems
Key Role Responsibilities of a Property Solicitor:
  • To conduct all aspects of legal work relating to land and property, development and landlord and tenant issues.
  • As and when required to attend meetings and to handle legal and advisory work connected with this.
  • To lease renewals
  • Handle title queries and residential acquisitions
  • To advise client departments on land and property and highways matters.
  • Recording time worked to charge out to clients.
  • To maintain a caseload in compliance with Lexcel requirements.
  • Instructing Counsel to act or appear on behalf of the client in circumstances where the best interest of the client so requires.
  • Providing support to the Team Leader – Property and Contracts.
  • Any other appropriate duties as and when required.
