An exciting new vacancy has become available for an experienced sole gardener to take on the responsibility of maintaining and developing the formal gardens and grounds surrounding this beautiful Edwardian property located in a rural location near Solihull.The estate covers an area of approximately 10 acres of which 4 acres are to be maintained as formal gardens. This role would suit someone with experience maintaining gardens within a private estate, along with the creativity and confidence to further developthe gardens in line with the vision of the client.Currently the gardens contain mature mixed perennial borders, formal lawns, formally clipped hedging, new kitchen garden, as well as recently planted borders and statement beds. The owners are very much open to candidates who are keen to make their own stampon the gardens and encourage input with regards to any future development. The Sole Gardener will have a hands-on role in the daily care and continuous development of the garden.The ideal candidate will have an academic horticultural qualification and at least 3 years experience working within a private estate. This is an excellent opportunity and would suit someone with a vision for maintaining and enhancing the garden as required.There is a range of garden machinery available for use and the gardener will have the ability to operate and carry out basic maintenance of the garden machinery.
