Job Description

Job Title: Social Care Academy ManagerLocation: SolihullWorking Hours: 37 Per WeekEnhanced DBS with Adult & Child Barring is required for this post.HancoxRead Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our client’s team as a Social Care Academy Manager. The Social Care Academy Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations ofour social care training programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and training to our staff.To provide learning and development opportunities to the social work and social care workforce in Solihull to maximise and enable all to improve outcomes for Adults, Children and Young People in Solihull.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training curriculum for social care professionals.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation process of trainers and educators.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as local authorities, partner organizations, and industry experts, to enhance training programs.
  • Conduct regular assessments, evaluations, and reviews of training programs to ensure their effectiveness and relevance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in social care and integrate them into training programs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the SSCA understands and meets organisational requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Academys core groups of learners, ensuring their views, needs and preferences are reflected in the support provided by the Academy
  • Lead an annual Learning Needs Analysis with stakeholders and customers to identify annual requirements, priorities and agree budget for delivery for both the Core and Advanced Curriculums
Qualifications & Experience
  • A social work degree or DIPSW and is currently registered as a social worker Experience of developing and running a social work academy (or similar) Evidence of continual professional development
  • Substantial experience of Children and/or Adult Social Care services
  • Substantial experience in the design, delivery commissioning and evaluation of learning and development solutions
  • Considerable experience of conducting Learning Needs Analysis
  • Significant experience in building positive and productive relationships with colleagues, partners and customers to deliver successful outcomes
  • Must have a sound knowledge of social work
Desirable Criteria
  • Post Graduate qualification Training qualification e.g.
  • PTTLS Practice Education Award e.g.
  • Enabling Others, PTA
  • Experience of data management and analysis to inform decision making and practice
  • Experience of Learning Management Systems
