Job Description

Job Profile for Senior Mechanical Engineer - LF268864Our client a multi-Disciplinary consultancy are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team based from their office in Solihull.The Mechanical Engineer would be responsible for the development and production of outline and detailed design deliverables on combined Mechanical / Electrical / Public Health schemes within the building Environment, primarily in the Healthcare and Educationsectors but not limited to this.Senior Mechanical Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £55k - £65k (Guide only - DOE)
  • 25 days holiday (increasing with service)

Senior Mechanical Engineer Position Overview
  • Establishing client briefs
  • Working with other engineers, associates and the Project Director to ensure scheme designs are value engineered and adhere to client specifications
  • Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations and solutions from inception to completion
  • Coordinate design production
  • Liaison between client engineering staff and design consultants
  • Attend internal and external design reviews and progress meetings
Senior Mechanical Engineer Position Requirements
  • An Industry applicable HND, HNC, ONC Level or equivalent in Mechanical Building Services.
  • Prior experience working within a design consultancy or experience working within a contractor design environment
  • Prior experience working across RIBA stages 0 to 7, (full detailed design)
  • Prior experience working in the Education and Healthcare sectors is ideal but not essential
  • Good understanding and working knowledge with CIBSE, HTM guidelines, Water Byelaws, Building Regulations
  • Good understanding and literacy in Microsoft packages
  • Full UK driving license
