We are seeking a skilled Plasma Cutter Operator to join our clients Dynamic team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our cutting-edge manufacturing processes and work with state-of-the-art equipment.Plasma Cutter Operator responsibilities:" Operate plasma cutting equipment to cut, trim, and shape various metal materials according to specifications." Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct dimensions and shapes required for cutting." Set up and adjust plasma cutting machines, including selecting appropriate settings such as voltage, amperage, and gas flow." Ensure the proper positioning and alignment of materials to be cut, utilizing clamps, jigs, or other fixtures as necessary." Monitor cutting operations to maintain accuracy and quality standards, adjusting as needed." Inspect finished cuts for quality control, removing any burrs or sharp edges as required." Perform routine maintenance on plasma cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance." Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area." Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet project deadlines." Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and suggest innovative ideas.Plasma Cutter Operator requirements:" Proven experience as a Plasma Cutter Operator or similar role." Proficiency in operating plasma cutting machines and related tools." Strong understanding of metalworking principles and techniques." Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders." Familiarity with various metal types and their specific cutting requirements." Excellent attention to detail and precision in work." Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and stand for extended periods." Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities." Ability to work as part of a team to complete other workshop tasks as required" Relevant certifications or vocational training in metal fabrication or welding is a plus.As a Plasma Cutter Operator, youll receive."
