Job Description

Job title:PDI TechnicianLocation:SolihullSalary:£18,000 - £20,000 (dependent on skills and experience) Working week: 37.5 hours on rotating shift patternAbout the company:Whale Tankers is one of the largest manufacturers of liquid waste tankers and jetting equipment in Europe. Through customer interaction, feedback and design innovation the company have ensured that its brand stands for durability, reliability and ease of maintenance, leading to high residual values on its vehicles.A need has arisen for a PDI Technician to join the team based at our Solihull Head Office on a permanent, full-time basis.The duties of this role will include:

  • Carrying out pre delivery inspections on all vehicles according to the pre delivery inspection checklist
  • Ensuring all work carried out meets the quality standards set
  • Reporting all defects and resolving those within your capabilities
  • Completing all relevant paperwork
  • Training on Signwriting and Engraving
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area
  • Adhering, and working, to Health and Safety regulations
  • Full training will be given to the right individual
  • Any other ad hoc duties
  • Skills:

  • Desire to produce high quality work
  • Logical approach to tasks

  • Computer Skills
  • Background working in a production environment particularly body building is an advantage
  • Ability to use your own initiative

  • A full clean driving licence is essential
