Job Description

PayrollSubject Matter Expert Homer Road, Solihull Up to £26,500 with benefits & 25 days annual leaveWith over 23,000 employees working within our UK business, our Shared Service Payroll Team are integral to ensuring that all payments are accurate and timely across number of different PAYE registrations. In this role you’ll be a key part of this as you administrate a number of contracts, ensuring all variable input and transactional payroll data is actioned in a timely manner.Working alongside the rest of our friendly and supportive team you’ll do this by processing monthly, weekly, Bi-Weekly and Lunar payrolls. This will include:

  • Supporting the UK Service Delivery Manager to ensure that all payrolls are delivered in accordance with payroll calendars and are legislatively compliant
  • Ensure all transactional payroll data is input in a timely and accurate manner to Serco payrolls
  • Run HMRC processes out of the payroll software
  • Making sure overall team objectives are met
  • Ensure employee overpayments and returned payments are recovered and paid in a timely manner
  • Ensure the team provide a quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
    • Our Payroll team support the business across the UK and engage with a diverse range of public service work, so the role will offer exposure and extensive touch points across our community, including Contract managers, Pensions, Internal/External Audit and Finance.What you need to do the job In order to succeed within this role, you’ll be naturally customer focused to support your team and our UK&E division in delivering our Payroll operations. You’ll have good knowledge of Payroll Legislation and be able to evidence experience within a medium-large organisation. You’ll be comfortable in supervising, mentoring and coaching a team and be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Prior experience of using Resourcelink payroll system is desirable but not essential.We are looking for a proactive and energetic individual with strong self-initiative, communication and collaboration skills combining an open and inclusive approach with the ability to create a ‘can-do culture’.
