Operational Accounts AssistantFull Time (Hybrid - 1 day per week Office based)Paying up to £30kPermanentOur client is looking to recruit an Operational Accounts Assistant who will be an integral part of the finance team in a high growth organisation and will be responsible for participating in the day-to-day processes of the team. Reporting into the OperationAccounts Team Leader you will be responsible for the delivery of accounting information within a high-performance culture.Key responsibilities of the Operational Accounts Assistant:* Bacs FM / Bureau / Sales order processing* Carry out monthly invoicing* Carry out Direct Debit collection run (when required)* Assist in client migration processes (inbound and outbound)* Support in the management and organization of client Service User Numbers (BACS) including ordering, renaming and assigning, by working with our sponsor bank* Daily monitoring and oversight of transactional activity* Perform monthly reconciliation of AR balances (when required), liaising with other Team members to achieve this and dealing with ad-hoc queries from the business in respect of reconciliation questions.* Process sales orders received and ensure records are maintained to aid invoicing.* Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting as requested by Operational Accounts Manager including G-Cloud reporting* Preparation and review of monthly Client Risk analyses, including working with Management team to identify anomalies when required* Review aged debt report on a daily basis to identify overdue debt* Help to facilitate the resolution of customer queries with the appropriate internal staff to ensure payment is received* Manage credit referencing and record credit limits within system* Monitor credit limits and payment terms* Cover for inputting cash receipts on a daily basis to identify outstanding remittances* Cover for allocation of cash received and reconciliation of customer accounts* Prepare cash and age debtor reports and AR cash receipt forecasts* Deliver against DSO targets* Escalation of accounts with overdue debt to senior management for legal proceedings* Supply customers with copy documentation as needed* Reconciliation of Bank Accounts.* Match supplier invoices to purchase orders/goods received* documentation/supplier statements and ensure they are appropriately authorised, and booked into accounting system* Resolve any discrepancies and deal with supplier queries* Prepare supplier payments for authorisation and subsequent processing* Reconcile bank accounts (including foreign currency)Key requirements for the Operational Accounts Assistant:* AAT Qualification Level 3 advantageous* Previous experience in an operational accounts assistant role would be advantageous* Commercial acumen and financial analysis skills* Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel* Experience of Microsoft Great Plains software would be an advantage* Experience within BACS/payments environment would be an advantage.If you are interested in this Operational Accounts Assistant position and feel your experience matches the criteria then please apply now for immediate consideration or for more information please contact Andrew Davison.Medlock Partners are a professional services recruitment specialist operating across the North West of England.
