Job Description

Title: Maintenance SupervisorSalary: £24k - £28kLocation: SolihullSupreme Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Maintenance Supervisor for our client based in Solihull.Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance work as requested by the Maintenance Manager ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with minimum disruption.
  • Deputise for the Maintenance Manager during any period of planned or unplanned absence;
  • Carry out planned works.
  • Use your experience and knowledge in general maintenance to provide advice and guidance to all staff and to make informal decisions that will support the safe maintenance of the site.
  • Work flexible hours when required
  • Work in a safe and clean manner ensuring works areas are kept clean and clear at all times.
  • Perform other work-related duties when requested.
  • Take ownership when required and set up rooms or venues for planned events and clear when the event is finished
  • Ensure you are in constant communication by using the 2-way radio system to deal with any queries, maintenance requests, or emergencies
  • Deal with contractors as and when required
  • Take receipt of parcels and similar when required
  • Carrying out fire drills when required
  • To assist the Site Management Team with traffic and parking should the need arise
  • Supervising staff to ensure jobs are completed safely to a good standard and efficiency
  • On-call back up for out of hours alarm activation
    • Person Specification
  • Possess a practical range of skills including carpentry, plumbing, painting, plastering and roofing.
  • Able to work independently with proficiency and carry out work in the most efficient and economical manner
  • Able to accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work requirements
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Good IT Skills
  • A working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
  • Working at height
  • Ability to manage and organise people
  • Enahnced DBS is required
