Thats why we live by our values of were positive, were brave and we own it.The Role:As a Legal and Regulatory Operational Manager you will be responsible for implementing a workflow management system enabling efficient use of the resources within the department.By Monitoring the Departmental workloads, the Legal and Regulatory Operational Manager will allocate work requests to members of the department depending on current workloads, making recommendations regarding re-prioritisation (when necessary) to the Directorof Legal & Regulatory Affairs (DLRA).The role will involve being an administrative support for the Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs and the members of the Legal & Regulatory Policy Department (Department) as well as assisting with the assessment and management of operational risk withinthe department.Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the departmental control-point and main contact for all internal and external customers.
  • Logging, prioritising and allocation of all work coming into the department and monitoring the progress of work against departmental SLAs.
  • Creating and maintaining the departmental workflow database and producing weekly workflow reports for the DLRA to enable the effective allocation of departmental resources.
  • Maintaining the contract database filing contract documentation in line with company policy, and issuing monthly reports as required to the DLRA.
  • Maintaining the departmental advice repository and retrieving advice notes when requested by members of the department.
  • Review and approve the non-amendable standardised contracts and NDAs in accordance with the contracting policy.
  • Act as the key point of contact with Finance Department regarding purchase orders, invoices & all other finance related matters impacting the department.
  • Production of departmental policies and procedural documents (working with Departmental subject matter experts as required) and ensuring publication on the company intranet site.
  • Assist the DLRA in the identification and assessment of operational risks (generic risks and if appropriate specific risks) for inclusion in the Departmental risk map.
  • Document specific controls required to minimise exposure to operational risk by working with subject matter experts within the Department.
  • Identify operational risks (by working with Departmental subject matter experts) associated with the launch of a new Departmental activity, product, organisational structure or service provider and define (by working with Departmental subject matter experts)the controls required to mitigate those risks.
  • Perform testing of the controls in accordance with the timescales defined by CLA and escalate any instances of non-compliance to the DLRA before submission to CLA.
Key Skills:
  • Excellent MS Office skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Great Problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Planning, scheduling & monitoring completion of individuals tasks.
  • Raising Purchase Orders, matching with invoices & validating invoice amounts.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of departmental management and work with all levels in all departments requiring support from the Department.
