Job Description

IT Support & Project Engineer (Infrastructure)£32,000 - £40,000Shirley (West Midlands) (Field & Hybrid)Gleeson are working alongside a well established, national organisation who have an exciting opportunity for anIT Support & Project Engineer coming from a 3rd line role to join the infrastructure team on a full time basis.This is a 3rd line type role and would suit someone who has been working say in a fast paced / busy environment or similar as an outbound engineer doing a mix of BAU & Project work (escalations that cant be sorted in the office by support desk) meaning workingknowledge of site installs/upgrades and being used to projects is an additional bonus.The requirement to come in to the office will only be around once a week however, there will be a large requirement to visit sites around the UK so this role will suit someone who likes to get out and about.Key skills

  • Extensive experience of operating in a corporate / midsize enterprise level IT Infrastructure role
  • Experience of consolidating a wide variety of technologies into a standardised offering (in particular migrating On-Premise servers and services to Azure/SAAS).
  • Experience of developing and delivering IT solutions and projects.
  • Extensive experience of enterprise level IT Infrastructure solutions e.g. Microsoft O365 and Azure, Microsoft Server and EUC technologies, Virtualisation (VmWare / Hyper-V), Backup (Acronis), Identity & Access Management (AD / Okta etc.), Cisco / HP networkingtechnologies, Firewall technologies etc.
  • Experience of operating within best practice operational service processes, such as ITIL.
  • Experience of IT Security best practice - processes and technologies.
  • Experience of AV Packages in particular Acronis Cloud Protect
  • Managing and Deploying devices and applications with Microsoft INTUNE
