Job Description

Thats why we live by our values of were positive, were brave and we own it.The Role:As the Head of Procurement you will be responsible for the sourcing & supply of all bought in products, goods & services as well as third party suppliers which covers a number of categories.As the Head of Procurement you will be responsible for building the Supplier Relationships, whilst supporting the strategic road map by offering insightful decision support, navigate the business through the planning and reporting cycles.This position will have multiple stakeholders and will have responsibility for leading a small team on all activities (Directs & Indirects) in addition to input to the design of procurement strategy and its implementation.Key accountabilities:

  • Working with various stakeholders and Group, strategically and operationally, with the procurement team, finance colleagues across the business and other key partners
  • Implement the Supplier Relationship Management Policy, Procurement Policy and Operating guidelines, ensuring compliance. Provide mentoring, training and support on a proactive basis
  • Planning & Reporting of the key processes covering Budget, interim & short terms forecasts and monthly performance & important metrics
  • Proactively support business managers conducting contract renewals and new supplier selection:
  • Analyse expenditure by category, develop strategies to leverage group company contracts, consolidating and reducing the supply base
  • Leadership of financial programmes such as cost savings initiatives, with third party suppliers and Tenders.
  • Lead the supplier evaluation process, & ongoing supplier management process, ensuring in depth analysis to drive out optimum performance, required scalability, quality assurance, delivery, benefits realisation and risk allocation/mitigation.
  • Team Leadership & Development (2 direct reports) to coach mentor and develop
We are looking for a talented, successful individual with a strong academic background to fill this high profile and rewarding role. The successful candidate will need to be able to effectively communicate and influence across our partners.Experience:

Qualifications:
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • CIPS, or working towards
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools
