Job Description

RSR is a public safety, housing & enterprise security recruitment specialist. We assist public safety & housing employers find the right talent. We assist all employers when they want to source public safety, housing and enterprise security skills and experience.RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting on behalf of our policing client based in Solihull for a Finance Support Officer.This is a full time, 3-month contract with the possibility for a permanent contract.Offering a salary of £26,487.Main Duties:

  • Provide guidance and oversee the co-ordination of the input of overtime, expenses and management of purchase orders to ensure criteria and deadlines are met.
  • Provide detailed management information and analysis in relation to specific subjective areas.
  • Manage the maintenance of systems necessary to enable effective control of all financial matters and to ensure that the records and assets are kept in accordance with force policy and procedure, financial instructions, Financial Regulations and StandingOrders of the Authority.
  • Ensure that there is a system of accurate subjective financial monitoring to ensure accuracy of cost coding and to highlight any spend variances to forecast.
  • Ensure audit control checks are preformed to a laid down schedule to ensure procedures being adhered to.
Essential Requirements:
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in the field of finance.
  • Experience of analysing data and preparing management report.
  • Experience of engaging with stakeholders and customers at all levels.
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team and delivering results in at times a highly pressured environment.
  • Proven Competency of Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with all staffing levels to achieve business outcomes.
  • Experience / understanding of end of Financial year reporting and procedures.
