Job Description

FAMILY LEGAL SECRETARY SALARY: £22,000 - £24,000 BCR/JH/10972 SOLIHULL Are you a skilled Legal Secretary with a passion for family law Bell Cornwall Recruitment is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Family Legal Secretary to join our clients team in Solihull. If you have experience in family law and possessexcellent organisational and communication skills, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary Management: Efficiently manage diaries, schedule appointments, and organise meetings for the family law team.
  • File Management: Take charge of file management, including opening and closing files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date filing systems, and managing email correspondence.
  • Client Interaction: Proactively interact with clients, take messages, provide information, and handle basic inquiries to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Collaborative Support: Work collaboratively with other secretarial support staff to deliver responsive and professional secretarial assistance to fee earners and clients.
  • Financial Support: Assist with billing and financial requirements for the family law team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Document Production: Carry out audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence to a high standard. Coordinate the production of all documents from initiation to delivery back to the relevant fee earner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Undertake various administrative tasks, including organising conference or meetings calls, preparing client engagement letters, and managing filing and storage of important documents.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Legal Secretary within a family law setting is highly desirable.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities, including diary management and file organisation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), document or case management systems, and familiarity with legal processes.
