Job Description

Job Title - Data Protection / Backup AnalystLocation: Solihull, BirminghamSalary: £35,000 + on call + benefitsKey area: Backup, DPA, Data Protection, Recovery, IBM, TSM, Tivoli, Veeam, Dell, EMC, Storage, SANChapman Tate Associates seeks a Data / Backup Analyst to join this well established and award winning MSP of Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security and Data Protection solutions.The successful candidate will play a key integral part in supporting a range of customer solutions relating to Data Protection and Backup Tech Services.Working alongside the Senior Data Protection Manager you will oversee the following areas:

  • Resolve any logged Customer Incidents in as timely and manageable fashion
  • Provide technical support for IT related issues for customers in line with service level agreements
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Data Protection and Backup Service Support Desk
Other areas of the role will include:
  • Achieve targets as directed by Support Services Management, e.g. average number of calls per working day, # of problems to resolve per month or % of configuration items correctly managed
  • Take responsibility for incidents and requests that require second/third line intervention, and own until a satisfactory conclusion is reached
  • Check in with customers to make sure on a weekly/monthly basis to make sure service levels are being met
  • Systems administration, tech support and various technical project based work
  • Provide a good level of customer support and satisfaction
  • Contribute to knowledgebase for both colleagues and end users
  • Analyse logs to find information requested by the business and to help find the causes of issues
Ideally my client would like someone from an IT Managed Services background but any experience supporting a customer or internal users around Backup and Recovery solutions will be considered.The following experience is required:
  • Service Desk and experience of supporting customers in a 2nd/3rd-line perspective
  • Worked with a backup solution i.e. Symantec, Veeam, Barracuda, or anything similar
If you have experience of IBM TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) this will be highly advantageous.There will be an opportunity to grow and develop into a more Senior position where the relevant industry training will be provided.Apply online for a now quick turnaround.
