About the roleWe are looking for a Customer Implant specialist to join our Strategic Accounts team at DS Smith, working closely with one of our key accounts in the UK - a global leader in the confectionery / snacking industry.Within the role, you will act as the primary point of contact for our customers general queries, working closely with their Hub Planning Team, Materials team, Site Schedulers, Production Team, Product Change Managers and Business Development managers, toensure that we achieve business objectives and service goals. You will liaise with our DS Smith Production sites (predominantly our Belper site), to ensure that requirements are met in line with production schedules, achieving our On Time In Full (OTIF) targets.The role will see you analysing forecast data for each SKU to drive efficient production, agreeing stocking principles to deliver inventory reduction, agreeing actions for obsolete stock, working with Transport teams to maximise load fills and vehicle utilisation,managing quality issues and customer complaints, analysing customer data to establish market trends against budgets, and working with the DS Smith team to extend Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to other sites.To succeed in the role, you should have a continuous improvement mindset, continually looking to make proactive recommendations and identity new opportunities to deliver a world-class customer service and delight one of our key customers. You should be akey stakeholder for our customer on site, ensuring that all parties are adhering to our agreed SLAs and ways of working. You need to be comfortable working independently, and sometimes remotely, on behalf of DS Smith whilst being embedded in our customersteams.LocationOur customers site is in Bournville, Birmingham and you will need to be on their site three or four days a week. There is then the flexibility to work the remaining days of the week from home or at a DS Smith site.About youMinimum requirements:
