Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a leading consumer finance company based in Solihull during an exciting time of growth. The position is available as a contract role, and is a great opportunity to join this dynamic forward thinking organisation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect, understand, and transmit the business requirements following the MoSCoW methodology for the project or the Request for Service (RS), and translate these into functional specifications and detailed test plans
  • Act as the interface and lynch-pin between the business, internal Development Team and third parties dependant on the systems that need to be changed
  • Analyse the requirements and ensure that the business implications for all areas have been considered, challenging the originator as required
  • Provide accurate estimates working with the Development team, Infrastructure team and Technical Architect
  • Produce weekly reports for the project manager showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies
  • Ensure that you understand the Release Management process and the global methodologies used as part of the change process and adhere to this
  • Document the success of each change as it gets implemented into production and ensure the quality measures are in place e.g. number of incidents, good procedures for operations documented etc….to monitor and report on effectiveness
  • Build a rounded knowledge of the business systems and become a business expert for in relation to the way the systems work to support the business
    • WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
  • ISEB Foundation in Business Analysis financial services environment
  • Business Analysis qualifications at Practitioner level or Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) Certification of Competency in Business (CCBA)
  • Ability to liaise and influence all levels of management and work with other departments
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations, particularly surrounding security.
  • ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis, Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) would be desirable
  • Prince2 Practitioner desirable
  • Knowledge of the following systems and the key components within them: EU1, Service View, Apply, IVR, DWH, CACS, Web At Home, Web OAM, Tallyman, Easi Credit V6, IPF, Realex
