Job Title: AccountantReporting to: Financial Controller Location: Birmingham Salary: £35,000 - £45,000+Purpose and ResponsibilitiesCompetencies and behaviour required (What strengths needed)Minimum Job RequirementsPurpose of the Job*UK reporting support, month end closings*Budgeting process support*Support to Controller for special projects and initiatives (NWC improvement plan, Billing process, Collections, acquisitions, growth initiatives, operations projects, ERP improvement and implementation projects)*Support to Controller to standardise processes, tools, and systems*Controlling support for legal entity where needed Main tasks and responsibilities:*Conducting standard and ad hoc financial analysis in Actuals, RFC, and planning periods*Drive harmonisation and standardisation of reporting and finance processes within the business*Support Controller in special projects (e.g. restructuring, investments)*Support follow-up of internal audit items and finance action items.*Support monthly closing process, including preparing management analysis and reports*Support legal entities in implementation of Sulzer and/or business unit specific policies and processes *Ad-Hoc reporting as required*Strong analytical skills*Understanding of and working with complex data*Advanced Excel skills*Good communication and presentation skills*Service-oriented towards "internal customers"*Able to work in matrix environment*Pro-active and self-motivated mindset*Team player*ERP system operational experience an advantage (MS DAX)*Performance oriented mentality; high level of drive and energy; hungry to achieve excellent outcome of workEducation requirements:*Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA or equivalent.*Degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)Job experience:*min 2 years of experience in Accounting or Controlling*Prior Financial Analysis experience is a plusKnowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):*Advanced MS Office, esp.
