Job Description

2nd / 3rd Line Support AnalystHybrid WorkingOur client, a leading UK Banking organisation have an opportunity for an experienced 2nd line support analyst to join their team and be given the tools to undertake 3rd line responsibilities. Working with a close knit team you will be encouraged to learnon the job and become a vital part of the businesses IT support function.You will be responsible for the design, configuration and technical support of the organisations infrastructure, monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure to ensurereliable, effective and secure communications that supports their corporate systems.Role responsibilities:

  • Acting 2nd/3rd line engineer part of a small team
  • Extensive technical support experience (BAU & Projects)
  • Extensive experience of implementing/managing technical projects.
  • Willingness to mentor less experienced members of the team
  • Ability to analyse technical issues quickly and methodically.
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner, especially when working with sensitive information/data
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Windows server 2003 and above, LANs, WANs, Virtualisation, network design, firewalls,
  • Proven track record of delivering infrastructure change projects within time and to budget
  • Excellent and practical knowledge of security, security techniques, there deployment and control within an IT environment
Knowledge, experience, skills, other attributes
  • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Experience with VMware 5.5/6.0/6/5/6/7
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010
  • Citrix Xenapp 6.5
  • Firewall experienceCheckpoint , Sonicwall, Meraki MX
  • Networking experience LAN, WAN.
  • CloudAzure Experience
  • O365 Configuration
  • PowerShell Scripting
Qualifications
  • Pref ITIL 4 foundation -
  • Any networking ( Cisco) , Virtualisation (VMware) or Microsoft qualifications
