Job Description

Opportunity for a Mechanical Supervisor to join an international sustainable manufacturing / heavy process engineering organisation in Kent.Mechanical Supervisor Functions:

  • Key focus on front line maintenance, the individual is required to help coordinate the engineering departments daily and weekly prioritisation, scheduling, and preparations of workload.
  • Strong focus on reliability and preventative maintenance to ensure problems are resolved first time right.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities associated with the main machine, Stock prep, the winder and its transport system.
  • To provide mechanical support to the ancillary plant and equipment necessary for the machine to function reliably including the WTP, CHP, warehouses and world class workshops.
This is a key mechanical maintenance position, required to also respond to breakdowns that have an immediate effect on plant safety, environmental release or plant performance and the individual must work quickly towards the resolution of any immediate ordeveloping problems. To work closely with the Planner, Mechanical Engineer and E&I colleagues to understand, assess and help coordinate the necessary resources and timings to complete the planned workloads.Opportunities within this group are immense, they have a breadth of proven systems in place to help and empower all staff to develop their skills further and achieve their potential.
