Job Description

Our client is a leading Consultancy in the UK Water Sector who has an outstanding opportunity for senior civil engineers to join the start on projects for Amp 7.

  • Working as part of, or leading a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the optioneering and outline design of innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions in order to meet key project drivers and achieve required outcomes
  • Undertake problem investigation, diagnosis and solution identification whilst applying challenge and innovative ways of working
  • Work closely and productively with the client and partner organisations within a collaborative, enterprise environment, to become a trusted and respected member of the team
  • Work proactively with client stakeholders to ensure that programmes and projects are managed effectively, ensuring delivery in a manner which meets quality, time and budget constraints
  • Provide support in the preparation of technical reports, cost estimates, contract documentation and contract management for a variety of water treatment projects
  • Identify and promote potential growth opportunities and assist in the preparation of expressions of interest and proposals
    • Qualifications
  • Broad experience within the water industry with a focus on the design and optimisation of water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject
  • Professionally qualified (Chartered Engineer or equivalent) and member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. ICE
  • Willingness and drive to challenge established methods of working and innovate in order to support a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office and other widely used packages
  • Willingness and ability to integrate into a team and provide proactive drive and leadership
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
  • Excellent client service focus and the ability to work in a collaborative, partnership environment, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
