Job Description

Western International Group is a multi-national company established 30 years ago in Dubai. Our products are sold in over 90 countries with an annual turnover of over $2 billion. The product portfolio ranges from home appliances, homeware, kitchenware, baby products, travel, and luggage accessories, etc.We launched our operations in the UK based in Birmingham in 2018 across multiple sales channels and we have achieved revenue of more than £5m in 2020. We are now ready to move forward with ambitious expansion plans to grow our market share in the UK. Our E-Commerce business is forecasted to grow significantly over the next 5 years, and we are currently at a major milestone of our digital growth road map.Main Purpose of the Job:We are looking for a Senior eCommerce & digital marketing Manager to develop our online presence. We are looking for someone to further uplift our website, improve eCommerce conversion and improve brand communication strategies throughout the website as well as social media platforms. You will be responsible for all aspects of the eCommerce business, including effective customer acquisition, customer engagement, digital marketing, Affiliates, Paid Media, and new routes to market. You will be expected to establish, own, and deliver business growth plans through Ecommerce trading, budget planning, competition analysis, demand planning, planning of content, and managing workflows.You will oversee devising strategies on the website, all our social media platforms, any sort of digital marketing requirements as well as any digital marketing spends using a range of tools and techniques, as well as implementing them, to drive optimum conversion.Your responsibilities will include.· Owning and developing the overall eCommerce and digital marketing strategy.

  • Analyzing and interpreting eCommerce data and developing specific action plans to grow traffic & conversion.
  • Managing and building a strong eCommerce/digital team.
  • Responsible for driving B2C transactions with full financial responsibility, increasing AOV basket size.
  • Drive conversion through A/B testing, abandoned baskets, failed search, category conversion, and tools including live chat and reviews.
  • Working closely with leadership, brand management, online marketplace managers, and the wider marketing team to understand company priorities and message focus areas.
  • Manage and improve our social media communications and increase engagement with our potential customers.
  • Improve brand social media presence and working closely with external parties including affiliates, bloggers & influencers.
  • Responsible for managing all digital marketing requirements and promotional ads to meet revenue and profitability targets. Closely monitor digital marketing budget and eCommerce margins to meet company targets and take ownership of monthly sales projections.
  • Build websites for multiple brands, perform audits, and trend analysis.
  • Job requirements, education, and skills required:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ or more experience within a similar role, taking account of the overall E-commerce and digital marketing.
  • Digital marketing degree or equivalent digital marketing certifications along with a proven track record.
  • Strong analytical and verbal communication skills for taking ownership of brand communication strategies online as well as taking financial responsibilities in line with digital marketing spend with an approximate budget of £50K-£100K annually.
  • Excellent knowledge of Shopify, Shopify plus along with any tools to uplift the website performance and improving UX design.
  • Competent eCommerce/Digital Marketer with a broad range of skills on SEO/PPC/Social Campaigns etc. Tools like Semrush/Ahrefs experience would be valuable.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital marketing campaigns, for example, google analytics, Social media adv, etc. Experience in email marketing, retargeting marketing with a track record.
  • Drive conversion through A/B testing, abandoned baskets, failed search, category conversion, and tools including live chat and reviews.
  • Social Media Management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.
  • Experience in managing affiliate platforms like Awin, CJ Affiliate, etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Package Skills (Word/PowerPoint/Excel etc.)
  • Experience with working on Hubspot and Linnworks,
  • Organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and work across multiple brands.
