Job Description

Job title: Quality TechnicianRole: PermanentLocation: SmethwickHours: MonThurs 08.00-17.00, Fri 08.00-16.00 (37.75 hours)We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to take on a brand-new position for an established Smethwick based company working with bespoke machinery and tooling.As the Quality Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Dimensional studies for first off, in process, last off, initial samples inspection reports or components from multi operational production lines to engineering drawings.
  • Inspection using handheld equipment, non-contact projection equipment, Vickers & Rockwell hardness testing.
  • Maintaining internal/external calibration of all onsite measuring equipment.
  • CMM background desirable.
You should have the following skills/experiences/competencies:
  • Calibration experience.
  • Use of hand tools for quality testing.
  • Experience of working to fine tolerances.
  • Background in bespoke products/parts is advantageous.
  • Aerospace or Automotive background is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
