Are you an experienced Electrical maintenance engineer looking for a new challenge If so, keep reading because this is the role for you!My client are major Metal Pressing company in West Bromwich and are recruiting for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis to provide a full maintenance service to the manufacturing facility.Main ResponsibilitiesThe role is busy and varied and its important that the right candidate has got all relevant qualifications and a strong background in electrical fault finding.Reporting directly to the Engineering shift supervisor.Maintain all electrical equipment on site in the safest and most efficient manner.Adhering to site engineering procedure.Reactive maintenance to machinery and plant. Individually or as part of a team. To carry out daily planned preventative maintenance and inspections.Work well independently as a shift electrician, fault finding, understanding electrical drawings and schematics.To be confident with decision making on diagnosing equipment failures.Good housekeeping and completing jobs to a satisfactory standard always complying with food manufacturing procedures.Ability to prioritise jobs on plant critical equipment in a timely manner.The Ideal Candidate5-year recognised apprenticeship in Maintenance Engineering.At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a Maintenance engineering position.Electrical and Mechanical experience in the maintenance and servicing of mechanical power presses & hydraulic presses.Knowledge and experience of PLCS.Knowledge and experience of Inverter drive systems.Knowledge and experience of A.C Motors and their associated drives.Experience of Electrical and Pneumatic installation techniques.Thorough knowledge and experience of Pneumatics / hydraulics and associated equipment.Mechanical drives and associated systemsKnowledge of site services.Experience of welding and brazing etc.The candidate will ideally hold the following:C&G or B-Tech eqv 236-1, 236-2, 236-3C&G or B-Tech eqv in industrial electronics.C&G or B-Tech eqv ONC (electrical/electronic)Suitable Mechanical qualification C&G or B-Tech18th Edition of the IEE wiring regulationsC&G or B-Tech eqv HNC (electrical/electronic)C&G or B-Tech eqv ONC (mechanical engineering)If you are interested in this role dont hesitate!
