Job Description

Our wonderful nationwide retail client located just outside of Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for a dynamic and adaptable candidate to fill an Accounts Assistant / HR role for a 6 month maternity contract, with the chance to go permanent. You will find yourself being welcomed into a bubbly and family orientated accounts team, reporting directly into to the Financial Controller.The ideal candidate must be immediately available, or readily available to start in the next few weeks and will find themselves undertaking a host of Finance and HR related duties. These include but are not limited to, managing cash, completing weekly bank reconciliations, posting receipts / invoices and completing payroll and expenses. You will also find yourself using your excellent rapport building skills to chase debt and liaise with a variety of other stakeholders.Ideally, you will:

  • Have previously worked within a SME business, in a similar role with accounts and HR responsibilities
  • Be readily available to start work within the next few weeks
  • Have previous experience dealing with HR, payroll and expenses as well as completing Credit Control tasks
  • Have had some exposure to payment runs and end of month process’
    • In Return, you will:
  • Have the ability to start a new role as soon as possible, whilst gaining a wealth of knowledge across accounts and HR
  • Potentially have the opportunity to go permanent at the end of the contract
