Job Description

IT Support Technician - 2nd LineWe are currently seeking a skilled IT Support Technician for our Managed Service Provider (MSP) client, to provide 2nd line support to their legal client cases. As a 2nd Line Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operationof our clients IT systems.Responsibilities:

  • Respond to help desk calls and monitor Help Desk portal and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) systems.
  • Provide day-to-day support to clients, primarily through telephone and remote assistance, with occasional site visits.
  • Assist internal staff with IT projects and new client on-boarding.
  • Support internal staff with 3rd line tasks on internal infrastructure and conduct data center visits for hardware upgrades.
  • Take ownership of support cases from logging to resolution, ensuring timely and effective troubleshooting.
  • Maintain helpdesk documentation for accurate and efficient issue resolution.

Skills and Experience:
  • Passion for technology and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies, including Hyper V, Clustering, AD/DNS/DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Proficiency in computer/server hardware configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Networking skills, including firewall/router/switch configuration and management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong time-management abilities.
  • Previous MSP experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Citrix technologies like Virtual APPS and VOIP telephony is advantageous.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support environment.
  • Possession of a full UK drivers license.
