Job Description

Job Title: Workshop TechnicianCompanyAn exciting opportunity exists to join our team of technicians within a company producing high specification hoses and rigid tubes for the motor racing industry. We are designers and manufacturers of components to the industry and we have a challenging mix of production and development projects ongoing for a range of clients, predominantly in the Formula One and Rally worlds.Reporting to: Production ManagerBased at: Our premises in Slough, BerkshireSalary: Based on experience and qualification: Benefits include: 21 days holiday, workplace pension, on-site parking, close to major access routes such as M4 motorway.Hours: 40 hrs per week, 8.30am - 5.00pm Mon - Fri. Some overtime may be required in order to meet customer deadlines.Key Candidate Attributes:

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment with high quality standards
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible around workload and willing to learn new skills
  • Be practical, efficient and able to prioritise workload in a busy working environment
  • Be enthusiastic about joining a small but growing company and be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve quality and productivity
  • General Responsibilities:
  • To carry out mechanical assembly of components and fittings
  • To be able to read and understand drawings and specifications
  • To be able to weld components (TIG/MIG)
  • Experience in toolmaking would be advantageous
  • Experience of using machine tools (eg lathe/mill)
  • To be able to measure accurately in both metric and imperial
  • To maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
  • To undertake any other duties, from time to time, as can be reasonably requested by the company
