SEN Classroom Assistant A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a SEN Classroom Assistant in a lovely school in Slough.The children in this school have struggles with many learning difficulties. These are often Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dyslexia, Speech Impediments and Aspergers. Your role as a Special Educational Needs Assistant will mostlyrevolve around supporting those students that struggle with these difficulties and ensuring that they can access their education in the same way as their peers.You will engage with them and help them access their education in different ways. You will become a pillar of support for these children and help them to reach their academic milestones. You will also support the class teacher and help with the general runningof the classroom. You may also be asked to provide additional support with class outings and help supervise outdoor activities, this may be done in small group settings or 1 to 1.The successful SEN Classroom Assistant: The successful SEN Classroom Assistant will be an individual who is calm, works well under pressure and has a positive and encouraging personality. You will ideally have some experience working with children and be eager to learn. Experience working withchildren who have additional needs will be advantageous.This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a new challenge. This role will also suit aspiring educational psychologists, counsellors as well as behavior therapists.
