Job Description

Can you offer previous experience in managing UK MOD contract work either from within the military or as a supplier and being the focal contact point for the customer. If so, this high quality organisation, with international reach, has an opening withina business unit, working alongside other members of a specialist teams, and reporting to the department manager.Your proven industry Military experience, and Degree level standard (or equivalent) should equip you for:-

  • Providing high quality and responsive customer service, purchase and repair administrative and technical query support to Military customers.
  • Processing of all purchasing and repairs under these contracts, ensuring orders at sub contractors are raised accurately and on time to ensure all goods and services are supplied in accordance with specified technical, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Acting as the focal point for distributorship equipment sales by processing all purchase orders with equipment manufacturers of Avionic Instruments and Systems.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:-
  • Administration of customer repairs
  • Obtain pricing
  • Raise Purchase Orders
  • Raise and manager Repair Orders
  • Provide high quality customer service to all customers.
  • Completing approved certificates, dispatch, and invoice.
  • Customer delivery forecasts, reports and general enquiries.
  • Maintain and improve quality and cost effectiveness.
  • May be required to visit customers on a face-to-face business with field sales manager(s)
  • Must have desire and ability to take on account management of Military Customers.
  • Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions
  • Commercial administration/support for out-sourced repairs, component management and import/export activities as business needs dictate.
Skills
  • Strong Administrative Skills
  • PC literate - Microsoft Office, databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to converse easily with contacts from a mix of cultures and countries
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Able to demonstrate commercial aptitude
  • Previous experience in managing UK MOD contracts.
  • Previous experience in an office based commercial environment
  • Experience in a Purchasing environment - Desirable
  • Experience of working in the aviation industry - Desirable
