Procurement Manager – APIs and ExcipientsFTSE 100Fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a successful and dynamic organisation that will enable you to shape the procurement strategy and be responsible for the strategic sourcing and cost optimization of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) and Excipients.Role OverviewDirect responsibility for a group of raw materials sourced globally and working in a cross functional basis.Acting quite independently, following very broad policies and directions from the Senior Global Procurement Manager. Will be expected to present to senior levels within the organisation.Developing world-class suppliers that can bring or jointly develop innovative products, will also impact top line growth.Ultimately responsible for the development and maintenance of a supplier base that can generate competitive advantage in region despite cultural and geographical differences.Cost, quality & service, innovation, speed to market, fast roll-out and net working capital improvement are the most important business needs with different focus and prioritisation in the region.High level contracting activities.The role encompasses high level relationship/networking with other functions such as R&D, Marketing, Finance, Regional Supply and Regional/Country Management. Periodical review with senior supply management is essential to the role.RequirementsIn-depth experience of Procurement, at least 5 years, in a multi-country environment. Exposure to API industry, Excipients or Chemicals.Ability to work in a truly global organisation. Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure most of the time. (FMCG or Pharmaceutical).High level negotiation, influencing at senior level and communication skills.
