Job Description

Covid Test Assistant, Slough (DBS required): We are currently working with several schools/colleges and recruiting for Covid Testing Staff to start working on a full time & part time temporary basis in secondary schools/Colleges in the Berkshire area.

This will realistically be starting in March, but training may begin sooner.We do not yet know when this role will be finishing due to working on government advice, but the suggestion is that it could be for several weeks. The individual must have at least a grade C in Maths & English and preferably be computer literate.   • Answering questions from staff and students about testing process
  • Passing on negative and positive test results
  • Processing tests to get results within 30 minutes
  • Team Leader - Responsible for the overall on-site operations at the test site, including day-to-day workforce management
  • Test Assistant - Provides guidance and supervision on swabbing as requested - collects swabs and passes them to processing operatives
  • Processing Operative - Prepares test samples for analysis, conducts processing and interprets results
  • Registration Assistant - Responsible for ensuring subjects have registered and distributing test kits on arrival. Ensures orderly entry of subjects onto the testing site
  • Results Recorder - Collates results from processing operatives and uploads to digital platform
    • ProfileCovid Test Assistant, Slough (DBS required):Individuals with enhanced child workforce DBS/criminal recordchecks - or be prepared to have a DBS application completed before work commences.Committed and empathetic individuals who can work Monday to Friday.Fast learners who can take direction and follow strict guidelines and policies.People who have a good level of Maths and English and who can complete forms and relevant paperwork with ease, computer literacy is also required.Experience of working with young people preferred but not essential.An individual who can commit up to 5 days (negotiable) per week on a long-term placement.The schools offer onsite parking and easy to get to via public transport and easy commute if you live in the surrounding area.This work would suit Teaching Assistants, Nursery nurses, youth workers, dance teachers or any other individual with experience of working with young people, although this isnt essential.Job Offer£9 - £12 per hour depemdant upon experience and availability.
