This pivotal, rewarding, and exciting opportunity is being offered on a full time, permanent basis.Warehouse and Transport Office Manager Role Outline:

• Have a clear understanding of the companys policies and vision, and how the warehouse operation contributes to these.
• Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
• Plan future capacity requirements.
• Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress inclusive of conducting annual reviews.
• Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
• Produce regular reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and discuss with responsible Director.
• Communicate with both the Warehouse and Office teams daily.
• Visit customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
• Handle office tasks such as stationery orders, co ordinating maintenance visits such as Fire Extinguisher, Plumbers etc.
• Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Key account management, dealing with some of our core clients for their warehousing and distribution requirements.
• Liaising with our internal and external clients offering expertise, guidance and solutions depending on their needs.
• Liaise with H&S and compliance team on audits, and H&S needs.
• Oversee scheduling of road haulage from various northern ports for direct site deliveries as well as full trailers and LCL groupage deliveries. Including working with 3rd party drivers, providing collection paperwork and coordination of bookings.
• Produce documentation for unpacks, picks, outbound thorough a variety of measures - whether this is via WMS, MS Excel, or Word.
• Ensure admin teamwork with the warehouse to ensure orders are dispatched on time and in expectations with client requirements.
• Building and maintaining client relations for continued business with customers.

Experience / Skills Required:Our client is looking to grow a team with varied experience and skills; your time will be divided between the Office and the Warehouse, some of what we are looking for is as follows:

• Strong people management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas.
• General administration experience gained from working in a Warehouse & Transport Operation.
• Excellent planning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stock.
• Strong levels of communication with clients to ensure a seamless service.
• Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box to find solutions.
• Understanding of transport options both on pallet and Courier Deliveries.
• Understanding of AEO procedures, Port systems and operations.
• High level customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, whilst under pressure and to tight deadlines yet with a high degree of accuracy whilst still maintaining great attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A high degree of numeracy and an understanding of finance for analysing figures to shape business decisions.
• Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse.
