Assistant Financial ControllerOn behalf of our client in the FMCG/Fresh Produce industry we are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller.Assistant Financial Controller Role Summary:To prepare and report on financial statements, ensure that the accounts are accurate and reliable plus provide support to the Finance Director and Financial Controller in all financial responsibilities.Main Responsibilities:• Management of financial statements including annual audit of all entities within the manufacturing division• Management of monthly performance vs. business plans including holding senior managers responsible for their respective budgets through regular reporting and meetings.• Monthly salary coding and analysis vs. budget and forecast.• Management of the Weekly Flash and Forecast reporting processes.• Preparation of the annual Budget and Reforecast.• Manage the maintenance of the rate cards for all customers.• Manage the financial aspects of Prophet and Qlik.• Management of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts ensuring all balances have an audit trail and are fully understood.• Manage the Fixed Assets financial control process including depreciation and the annual verification and valuation process.• Management of submission of Corporation tax, VAT and national statistics.• Manage the Management Accountant.• Assist the Finance Director, Financial Controller and Senior Business Analyst any appropriate financial tasks.TO BE SUITABLE YOU MUST HAVE FRESH PRODUCE OR FMCG EXPERIENCEQualifications and Skills:• ACA, ACMA or ACCA finalist or newly qualified or equivalent• Experience in a senior accounting role• Excellent numeracy• Substantial experience of creating complex Excel spreadsheets• Can confidently communicate to external stakeholders• Excellent written and spoken English skills• Ability to work unsupervised• Ability and willingness to be flexible, thorough and show attention to detail• Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines• Be organised and methodical in your approach to work• Ability to carry out the full range of duties on the job description• Experience of using a Business Intelligence tool would be advantageousMeasure of Performance/Key Deliverables:• Achievement of Key Performance Indicator’s• Clear presentation of financial reporting• Achievement of customer service levels• Accuracy of work• Timekeeping & attendance• Ability to manage team in line with Company policies and procedures
