SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Shirley based business in the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant. The extent of your duties will include but are not limited to: Working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, Management Accountants and Purchase Ledger team to ensure accurate month end preparation and reporting of the management accounts o Cost of sales deferrals / accruals calculation and journals o Revenue deferred income / accrued income calculations and journals o Ensuring bank reconciliations are performed accurately on a timely basis o Variance analysis with commentary o Matching costs to revenue to ensure accurate reporting o Assisting the Management Accountants with the population of the fixed asset register o Assisting with the input of data and calculations for the payment of commissions to the sales team o Tracking commissions accruals Ownership of new entities CoS Margin analysis and Direct Expenses and overheads in the accounts o Cost of Sales accruals / prepayments o Overhead accruals / prepayments o Investigation and commentary on variances to budget Be heavily involved with the integration of new acquisitions in the finance reporting structure Ownership of the group expenses system Assist with key aspects of statutory and financial accounting processes o Intercompany reconciliations - liaising with management accountants of other entities o Balance sheet reconciliations o Fixed Asset Register - liaise with management accountants on capitalisation and depreciation o Stock reconciliations o Period end duties and audit preparation The successful candidate will have: We are looking for a proactive and ambitious accounts assistant, capable of taking on new tasks quickly, evidencing their ability to develop new systems and better ways of working where the need is identified. The successful candidate will be a well-organisedindividual, able to multitask and prioritise workload with a positive, flexible attitude to achieve tight deadlines. Previous experience of working in a finance / accountancy role is essential. The role holder will be required to have a degree qualification in accountancy or finance or to have completed/be studying towards AAT.
