Cygnet Sherwood Lodge is split into 2 wards, there are 17 beds on the main ward and a further 9 step-down bedswhere there is an increased focus on daily living skills, enabling individuals to test out their independent living skills before further community integration.We want the men in our care to make their own choices and live as independently as they are able to. To achieve this, our in-house Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) supports them with our learning disability model of care. This offers support from the nursingteam, psychology, psychiatry, speech and language and occupational therapy.Occupational Therapy DirectorateUnder the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & becomeinvolved in service development.Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.5 reasons why you should make an application today
