The Role: The Transportation Office is responsible for all physical movement of goods for the Group worldwide. The departments remit covers import and export with a key rolein ensuring compliance with international trade agreements and Customs legislation. The demands placed on this service orientated department make this a busy and challenging position. Duties & Responsibilities:Effectively manage the day-to-day operationof the transport office.Supporting the transport and compliance manager with training and development opportunities for the transport team.Liaising with internal/ external stakeholders and building strong relationships.Ensure business processes andprocedures are followed to ensure ongoing HMRC compliance.Produce, daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports.Be proactive in cost saving exercises with external suppliers, monitoring and minimising transport costs. Team:Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.Ensure each team memberhas a succinct learning & development plan and hold regular performance reviews.Hold regular team meetings.Manage, develop and engage the Transport Team to a high standard. Skills and Experience Required:Knowledge of compliance within the transportindustry.Experience in leading and supervising a transport team.Ability to work at a fast pace to multiple deadlines on multiple tasks.Ability to prioritise.High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.Computer literate on Microsoft programssuch as Word and Excel.Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical detail.A service orientated outlook.
