Mechanical Maintenance Technician - £33k - £38k & overtime, bonus (c. £2k), excellent pension, investment in qualifications, Healthcare - Clear plan to be "lead engineer" in the short to medium term - Pick & choose your hours - "seasonal" work- Somerset Overview:Mechanical Engineers. Always fixing with your specialist tools, keeping the world go around as we know it and the true heroes of Somerset, the UK even.So how does working for a company that has tripled in size over the last 3 years (that with COVID thrown in) sound A company where we have a clear plan for the successful candidate to become a lead engineer with more training, development an opportunity thanyou can shake a stick atAlso - a decent point to mention - this is a place where you can pick and choose your hours. There are some times you "have to be in" (we call them "busy times"!), but most of the time you can choose when youre in. Pretty cool, eh! On that basis, I have a Mechanical Engineer role open for a hugely established UK brand. Were not even looking for the "finished articles", but a strong engineer with, ideally, strong mechanical skills who wants to really forge a career. If you are lackingskills, we can train you up as we have a large and hugely skilled team. We will happily pay for any qualifications and training you want, we just want a wiling and commitment. The Person:As alluded to, we are pretty open to the person we bring in here. Some companies get way bogged down on sector, skill set and experience. Were different, were building a team to last so the personality and work ethic is absolutely key and what we lookfor first and foremost, someone who wants this niche opportunity to really develop their mechanical skills. In the real world, you need some pretty sharp mechanical skills. So mechanical fitting, servicing, pneumatics, welding, pumps etc. is where this role revolves around, but we are more focused on the correct personality to come in who really wants to forge along term career. The role:We have multiple sites within an FMCG environment all next to each other and one is seasonal, which is why we need someone who works August to October, but can pick and choose the other times. As long as you do 2000 hours each year, were pretty open, butyou will be servicing the equipment in this part of our production. The company has grown so much over the last few years and will continue to do so due to sheer demand that the role evolves month on month, but keeping production running is key.The company:This is for a household UK company that truly believe in the investment of their staff. A company who will fund that next NVQ, HNC - but want a person who wants to achieve itWhat nextSimply hit apply and get your CV over to me - from there we can have a proper chat about the real ins and outs of the role, company and ultimately the opportunity. Look forward to hearing your story
