Exciting new opportunity as a Technical Designer at SIG Design & TechnologyAre you an aspiring Technical Designer with a passion for construction design and a knack for AutoCAD SIG Design and Technology, a leading player in the Flat Roof waterproofing industry, is on the lookout for a talented individual to joinour team.Role Overview:As a Technical Designer, youll be an essential contributor to our dynamic team, responsible for creating accurate and coordinated 2D technical drawings for various Flat roof waterproofing systems. If you have a background in construction designand hands-on experience with AutoCAD, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Develop 2D detailed technical drawings for flat roof waterproofing systems including Single Ply Membranes, Reinforced Bitumen Membranes, Cold Applied Liquids and Hot Melt.Collaborate with clients, Architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and offer robust solutions in line with British Standards and Codes of Practice.Utilize your AutoCAD expertise to produce accurate and coordinated designs.Contribute to design meetings (both in person and online), bringing your insights and creativity to the table.Answering Technical calls and emails in a polite and efficient manner from clients, Architects, Main Contractors, Builders and SIG Roofing Branches.Liaise with the internal SIG D&T colleagues where information sharing is key to driving our business forward.Minimum experience:Experience in construction design, including the use of AutoCAD.A strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality work.Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges.Full driving license and use of own vehicle.Experience:Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry and flat roof design with strong knowledge of BS6229:2018, although similar backgrounds and duration will also be considered.AutoCAD: 2 years minimumLocation:SIG Design & Technology office, Gelders Hall Road, Shepshed Leicestershire LE12 9NHShepshed: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)How to Apply:If youre ready to bring your construction design and AutoCAD skills to a team that values creativity and excellence, we encourage you to apply.
