Please ensure you have the right to live and work in the UK before applying.Job title: Support WorkerLocation: Briarvale,158 Ashby Road, Shepshed, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE12 9EERate Of Pay: £10.42 per hour + OvertimeShift Patterns: 37.5hrs Per Week Guaranteed, Full Time, Permanent + Overtime.Information about the Role:Working as a Support Worker at Briarvale your duties will include the following:

  • Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
  • Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families.
  • Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times.
  • Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
  • Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
  • Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
  • If applicable, assist in the administration of medication.
Information about the Service:At the supported Living service, Briarvale, we have 10 bedrooms with a mix of en-suite and shared bathrooms. There is a large communal kitchen, dining room and living room. There is also a second kitchen where we support individuals to learn daily livingskills. This adaptability ensures support is built around the individual, and that every ambition (from wanting to make their own cup of coffee through to finding a job) receives the focus, time and ongoing motivation required to help them be achieved andcelebrated!Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:
  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred.
  • Caring, kind and considerate.
  • Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
  • Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
