Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Perm Production Operatives to work for our Client based in Shepshed. As a Perm Production Operative you will either be working in Moulding or Finishing. Our Client will help shape your career and provide you with the right learning, development and growth opportunities.Pay for a Production Operative:

  • Double Days - £21,948.03 (base salary) plus shift allowance £2,600 = £24,548.03
  • Nights - £21,948.03 (base salary) plus shift allowance for Nights £6,600 = £28,548.03
Hours:
  • Double Days05:45 to 13:45 / 13:45 to 22:15Monday to Friday
  • Nights22:00 to 06:00Sunday to Thursday
Job Overview:The Production Operative shall ensure all tooling is handled professionally and effectively following the business process. Governance of the material batch release and re-life processes on site. Support new and legacy projects.Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine production task such as operating subassembly equipment, coating equipment, ovens and material handling equipment including hoists, cranes, tow motors, pallet trucks and other miscellaneous equipment
  • Complete troubleshooting while operating equipment including performing and documenting limited preventative maintenance
  • Monitor, measure and record quality assurance data including, but not limited to dimensions, weight or other specific information
  • Observe safe work practices, maintain a safe and clean work environment and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Track orders, utilise appropriate equipment and move material to enable the production process to flow efficiently and effectively
  • Comprehend and accurately follow specific detailed operational instructions and prints for job and setup operations
  • Follow specific quality criteria to maintain quality system requirements
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience in the use of hand tools including callipers, depth gauges, micrometres and other measuring equipment is desirable
  • Able to problem solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to read various instructions
  • Proficient computer skills
