Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for DriverOperatives to work for our Client based in Melton Mowbray. As a DriverOperative you will be assembling equipment and driving it to and from site. Our Client is a UK based company trading since 2001 and is a leading trade supplier in their industry. The position of DriverOperative is a perm position with a salary of up to £23,920 per annum.Pay for a Yard Operative:

  • £11 to £11.50 per hour
Hours:
  • 8.30 to 5pm (40 hours)Monday to Friday
Job Overview:The DriverOperative is an opportunity for a flexible and versatile Assembler / driver to join a growing team at an exciting time. This role would suit a candidate who has driving experience but is also willing and able towork in a team to unload and assemble product at customers premises.Core Responsibilities:
  • Driving to and from site
  • Product assembly on site
  • Being flexible and willing to help the warehouse team when necessary
  • Have practical knowledge of DIY
  • On site problem solving
  • An understanding of Health and Safety
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Clean driving licence (including C1 is preferred but not essential)
  • Relevant 7.5t vehicle driving experience and CPC is preferable but there is an opportunity for training to attain a CPC
  • Able to work on your own as well as in a team
  • A practical and capable approach to the use of power tools and DIY assembly
  • The ability to use your initiative and problem solve
  • A forklift truck licence would be an advantage
  • Able and willing to work the occasional weekend and bank holiday
