Are you an experienced Customer and Commercial Manager who has worked within the aerospace, defence, or nuclear industries If so, our client, a manufacturer of aerospace components, is recruiting for a Commercial Manager for their site in Loughborough.The Commercial Manager will own the customer relationship through the full life cycle, playing a pivotal role in the successful planning, execution, and oversight of new projects and commercial initiatives within the business.Commercial ManagerPermanent – ASAP start Salary dependent on experienceMonday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm, Friday 8.30am – 1.30pmFlexible and hybrid working available.   • Managing portfolio scope against contract term, ensuring contracted deliverables and commitments are understood and communicated throughout the organization.
  • Being responsible for delivering the business and customer strategic goals, with a key focus on long term vision and benefits.
  • Supporting contract negotiations and leading post-contract-award scope changes.
  • Being responsible for managing assigned programs throughout their lifecycle and providing senior level leadership, oversight, and control on cost, schedule, and performance of contracts.
  • Analysing existing product portfolio ensuring continued financial health whilst strategically identifying opportunities to improve profitability and growth.
  • Increasing revenue by collaborating with the Engineering and Business Development teams.
  • Presenting program status to customer and internal senior level management as required.
  • Being the primary interface with customers and feeding back to the business.
Commercial Manager Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of business, engineering and operations management.
  • Prior experience in a senior customer facing role.
  • Strong commercial experience essential e.g. pricing, contractual reviews
