Job Description

The successful candidate will be experienced in offering employability advice and should be driven by their passion to guide and support pupils in their employability journey to successfully start their professional career.Key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • To plan, promote and deliver successful 1:1 and group enrichment and employability sessions and events
  • To maximise student engagement with innovative ideas
  • To effectively prepare students for their upcoming work placements, as a group and individually
  • Provide appropriate careers education, that is current in the labour market and ensuring students are aware of progression opportunities
  • Effective collaboration with local employers, apprenticeship providers and our own internal teams
  • Ensure that all students undergo significant, meaningful work-related activity during their study
  • To help develop relevant life skills through effective coaching
  • To be an active part of the team, sharing experiences, practice, teaching skills, learner updates and attending team meetings
  • To provide regular reports and updates on student work placements and enrichment activity to meet targets
  • Maintain accurate records including placement data using ProMonitor and Navigate
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the business development team with the view to sourcing excellent industry placements that offer valuable experiences for our students
Person specification:
  • Level 3 or 4 Certificate or Award in Education & Training (or equivalent)
  • Qualification in related area or relevant knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
  • Experience in creating and delivering work skills to individuals and groups
  • Experience of working with learners of all ages
  • Supporting students in obtaining work placements
  • Work in a professional and confidential manner with a high degree of integrity and flexibility
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and students receiving education and training
  • Motivated, organised and can work unsupervised on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Familiar with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Classroom.
