Job Description

A global leader in Wind Energy contracts is looking for an experienced Wind Farm Manager to look after their portfolio. This role is covering the operation and maintenance (O&M) onshore farms in the Northern England areas and offers an excellent benefitspackage.As an onshore Wind Farm Manager, you will:

  • Conduct quarterly inspections of the sites including turbines, wind measuringmast, site roads / entrances and the substation.
  • Carry out safety inductions, manage contractors, provide toolbox talks and manageon site risks.
  • Ensure QHSE procedures are in place and enforced throughout the portfolio.
  • Conduct contractual management of the Turbine O&M provider.
  • Track the farms production, alarms and malfunctions.
  • Monitor wind forecasts and optimise maintenance schedules with the turbineoperator, ensuring minimal down time.
  • Liaise and manage relationship with local stakeholders, landowners, residents andauthorities - manage land leases and all necessary payments to landowners and financially involved parties.
  • Optimise production and asset enhancement.
  • Manage environmental monitoring and habitat management works according toschedule provided by planning and environmental manager.
The successful onshore Wind Farm Manager will have the following skills and experience:
  • A qualification in engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in windfarm operations / management.
  • Good working knowledge of commercial turbine operations - experience ofEnercon turbines is desirable but not essential.
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office - SCADA knowledge is anadvantage
  • Possess a full, clean drivers licence - category B.
