Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Welder / Fabricator to join our clients’ expanding award winning team of production technicians, manufacturing stainless steel components, for the automotive, utilities and food industries basedclose to Meadowhall and the M1 motorway in Sheffield. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and dedicated industry professionals to develop your skills, within a dynamic company which also offers the opportunity to progress your career in the industry, if so desired.About the roleDue to continued growth and expansion plans, our client is offering an opportunity for an additional experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team of production technicians. They require someone with a professional approach to work who possessesthe drive and energy to contribute to a flexible, fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall performance and growth of both companies. The role requires you to be:

  • Experienced in TIG welding (MIG advantageous)
  • Able to produce work of a high standard within given time constraints
  • Good with your attendance and timekeeping record
  • Be open to new ideas and make a positive contribution to the team
  • Experienced with small component fabrication in 1.5mm to 3mm wall thickness - desirable
Responsibilities include:
  • Achieving the daily planned production schedule
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the workshop
  • Record job times and attach job sheet to finished parts in allocated area
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by highlighting any areas needed for further development and finding solutions with the team
  • Ensure all Health & Safety rules are adhered to and that the working environment is kept clean and tidy
  • Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings
  • Participate in performance reviews to enhance self-development
About the rewardsFor the role of Senior Welder / Fabricator there is on offer:
  • A salary of £13.00 to £15.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Overtime available after initial training (at 1½ x rate)
  • Staff uniform (including PPE)
  • Daytime work only, 42 hours per week with a choice of 2 shift patterns Mon-Fri
  • 28 days holidays including bank holidays, (increases with service).
