Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team, youll play a core part in providing fantastic customer service. You will provide a warm welcome and give information about the Longshaw Estate to make sure each visitor has an enjoyable andmemorable visit.The Hours: Flexible hours to be discussed at interview with a variety of shift patterns available. The role will require weekend hours and bank holidays, but again we would discuss your availability upon successful completion of your application. What its like to work here Reporting to the Welcome Manager, youll be working in a team made up of two Welcome and Service Assistants and forty Welcome Volunteers. The welcome team also work with the Senior Visitor Experience Officer to facilitate seasonal trails and events. TheWelcome team are very enthusiastic, so we need someone outgoing and confident to welcome in the public, and someone with willingness to learn about conservation. We believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellentservice you provide.As we work closely with the Volunteers, there will be opportunities to learn about Volunteer Management and training. We promote National Trust memberships, so there is opportunity to learn more about how we can grow support for the National Trust. What youll be doing As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so youll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent serviceto all our visitors, every day.Day to day youll be on hand in the Welcome Building to answer queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit, to help with carparking, and to facilitate and maintain seasonal trails when required.Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place youll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.Youll deliver high standards of presentation at the property and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
