Web Developer - Remote First Working - SheffieldElevation Recruitment Group currently looking to recruit a Back End Web Developer on behalf of a leading Sheffield based Tech business.As Web Developer you will be responsible for all aspects of the e-commerce application, primarily focusing on development of new functionality, technology improvements and managing technical debt. You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other IT teammates to ensure that changes are implemented, delivering maximum value with customer-centric focus. Key duties and responsibilities:*Design solutions: research, identify and document technical, non-functional, and security requirements *Develop solutions to meet requirements, using best practices within agreed acceptance criteria *Own solutions throughout the design, development, and deployment stages, collaborating with other teams when appropriate *Provide accurate updates and feedback, following scrum framework*Ensure tasks and projects adhere to the current quality standards including documentation, testing and where necessary performing code reviews of other developments *Offer courteous and efficient support of applications to the user community *Where necessary, perform incident management activities adhering to the IT incident management processes*Communicate all system or process changes to the relevant parties *Deliver development to agreed service levels, adhering to the change management processes *Implement tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations; to automate and streamline processesWe are keen to speak with Web Developers with the following skills and experience:*Experience of (one or more of): Java, PHP, Containers, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and Configuration Management *Experience with test-driven development approaches *Exposure to Test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc. *Working knowledge of CI/CD processes automation *Experienced with creating CI/CD pipelines deploying change into production environments *Proven experience of securing internet applications and platforms against attack and handling malicious behaviour from attackers *Experience with Scum and DevOps frameworks and recommendations, as well as with process analysis, design and implantation, business and technical requirements, problem solving and system testing including user acceptance testing and big fixes *Demonstrates skills in shaping and leading the development of technical specifications and demonstrates advanced business and technical acumen for applications To find out more about this outstanding opportunity contact us today!
